Homemade Natural Body Wash | Easy DIY Recipe
This DIY Natural Body Wash is one of the easiest things you can DIY for your home. You are doing yourself a favor by upgrading your ingredients and things you put onto your body. Just look at the EWC website for what ratings your current products use! The best part about this DIY Body Wash is that works so well! I truly never thought I could DIY a Natural Body Wash that worked better than anything I’ve ever purchased from the store. I will absolutely never go back to any other body wash. Read on for how easy it is!
I've recently started to look into making more natural products. I started with some lotion and now have moved onto body wash.
Let me start by saying that wow this stuff works. Like for real. I was starting to feel like I couldn't make it through the day without getting smelly or uncomfortable. I’ve used just about anything that can be purchased at target…Most recently, I was using an unscented target brand soap and I thought, hey, this doesn't seem to be working so I might as well try something new!
I'm now on my third batch and like it even more. I used tea tree oil for the first batch and it worked great but I just didn't really like the smell. The second batch is sweet orange and smells much better, but I really think the tea tree oil cleans better and works throughout the entire day. You could also go unscented - it would probably have a minimal honey smell which would probably be good.
Anyway - it's suuuuper easy to make and definitely worth the few minutes it takes!

Tips for making this DIY Natural Body Wash
Don’t get caught up on the measurements, it really doesn’t need to be exact.
Try to reuse a bottle you already have! I used a burt’s bee’s body wash bottle and it’s still going strong! Recycle for the environment and save money by not buying a soap dispenser.
If you don’t have a bottle you can re-use, buy any soap dispenser (like these) or check out the travel section at target!
The mixture does separate, so it needs a good shake before each use!
DIY Natural Body Wash
Makes: 12 Oz (or whatever size your conatiner is)
- 2 Parts Castile Soap
- 1 Part Raw, Organic Honey
- 1 Part Jojoba Oil
- 15 Drops TeaTree Essential Oil
- Fill up half your container with Castile Soap.
- Fill 1/4 of the remaining space with honey and 1/4 of the space with Jojoba Oil.
- Add 15 drops of tea tree oil and shake to combine.
- Shake mixture and apply to body. Rinse.
I will say, I don't love the smell of tea tree oil, but it really works. For me, it worked better than the orange probably due to it's disinfectant properties.
